Annually, the Waterbury Regional Chamber recognizes business professionals who demonstrate advocacy, organizational excellence, leadership, and selflessness throughout the health care community. This year, they recognized many who support their healthcare community every day, being The Hispanic Coalition of Greater Waterbury an example of it. On August 17, The Health Care Council 16th year celebration took place in-person at Aria Wedding and Banquet Facility in Prospect, CT.
Victor Lopez, Executive Director of The Hispanic Coalition of Greater Waterbury, received with honor and proud The 2021 Stephen Sasala Health Advocate Award. This award is presented to an individual or group who works outside of the health industry yet still demonstrate exceptional commitment to healthcare related issues. By using their own unique capabilities and competencies they have demonstrated an ability to improve health and influence health related issues in a positive way.
