The atmosphere has turned festive with the welcome of the Christmas season. Everything changes… transforms, turning magical. There is more family unity, sharing among colleagues and above all, love for others.
For many people, especially for Hispanic community, this time is the most special for food, music, and decorations. And with this joy, the members of LACE opened their doors on Thursday, December 8th to display their Wonderland-themed Christmas decorations, as part of the Downtown Waterbury Wandering Stroll Christmas Window Contest. The blue, white, and silver colors decorated the window as well as amazing hand-painted Christmas art, highlighting the window of the building, located at 170 Grand St.
During the event, members of the Waterbury Brass Senior Center gathered to delight the environment with Christmas songs. Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus, and the Three Wise Men also paid a visit. The community enjoyed the gathering.
To conclude the evening, Shakespirience students had a wonderful scene presentation of the Christmas tradition of different populations, especially of the Latino community based in the celebration of the Three Wise Men. A round of applause to all the participants who projected a beautiful Hispanic tradition.
It really was a magical night, full of splendor and human quality.
