La Casa Bienvenida Senior Center Bus Driver

Job Description

The Daily transport of Clients to and from our Senior Center, hospitals, medical offices and their private home in a safe and professional manner.  

Responsibilities

Drivers will be responsible for keeping the vehicles and the equipment maintained, ensuring that the vehicle has all necessary supplies, completion of shift documentation.   

Requirements

1. Current and valid State of Connecticut Commercial driver’s license with F endorsement. CDL preferred.
2. Capable of understanding directions and the ability to follow instructions.
3. Perform all related duties as assigned by the Senior Program Supervisor.

Duties

(Included but not limited to)

1. Transporting clients in a safe and professional manner.
2. Communicates with Senior Program Supervisor to coordinate clients’ pick up and drop off.
3. Maintain a professional behavior, and respectful positive attitude towards clients, visitors, and coworkers.
4. Completion of vehicle maintenance inspection prior to daily vehicle usage for safe and comfortable client transport.
5. Assist with work related duties as requested by Senior Center Program Supervisor.

Terms of Employment:

1. Regular Full Time, Part Time or Per Diem; work hours as scheduled, depending on the needs of the agency.
2. The Hispanic Coalition of Greater Waterbury, Inc., Personnel Policies and Procedures (Employee Handbook) takes effect on 91st date of hire.
3. Salary: dependent on experience and education.
4. All Hispanic Coalition of Greater Waterbury, Inc., employees are employed on an “at-will” basis. Employment at the Hispanic Coalition is for an indefinite period of time and is terminable at any time, with or without cause being shown, by either the employee or the Hispanic Coalition of Greater Waterbury, Inc.
