The Hispanic Coalition receives Connecticut Community Foundation Pathways Grant.

Founded in 1923 as the Waterbury Foundation, Connecticut Community Foundation was the first community foundation in the state. Today, the Connecticut Community Foundation’s service area covers 21 towns in Greater Waterbury and the Litchfield Hills.

Connecticut Community Foundation was founded with a simple yet important objective—to receive gifts from donors and invest those resources back into our community.

The Foundation strives to be open, strategic, and fair, demonstrating integrity and commitment for the long term: a welcoming partner that works to meet community needs by effectively transforming ideals into action.

We provide visionary community leadership by identifying emerging issues in our region. We address those challenges through our grantmaking programs, our research and our ability to bring together diverse groups of problem-solvers.

Thanks to the generosity of donors through the years, the Foundation administers more than 420 charitable funds and private foundations. The funds enable us to provide grants and services to nonprofit organizations and scholarships to students with the aim of fostering timeless impact.
