The Hispanic Coalition participated in the 2021 Connecticut Rivers Council, BSA “Vale La Pena Breakfast.” This event took place at the Waterbury Country Club on Friday October 15th. The Hispanic Coalition is proud to support those who have made significant contributions to our community.

María González, director of community services at New Opportunities; Michael O’Conner, regional president of Webster Bank and John Hopkins; Post University Waterbury CEO and President were recognized with the Service Award, Outstanding Educator Award, and Leadership Award.

These awards recognize individuals and businesses that have made significant contributions to their community, acted as advocates for Hispanic / Latino youth, and encouraged outreach to improve their everyday lives.
